LOCAL RULES AS AT 1st APRIL 2006

  1. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (GUR)

    The ball may be lifted and dropped, without penalty, at the nearest point of relief, within one club length, not nearer the hole, from:
    1. areas (bare patches) ringed in white or marked GUR;
    2. any flowerbed;
    3. nesting birds;
    4. course construction works, newly sodded and replanted areas, and areas where sods have been lifted.


  2. HOLE NO 6

    A ball coming to rest on the roadway to the right of the 6th green may be dropped in the drop zone alongside the 7th tee or played as it lies. Closest relief does not apply.

  3. ROADWAYS AND PATHS

    Relief may be taken from all roadways and paths on the course (whether artificially surfaced or not) excepting in respect of a ball coming to rest on the roadway to the right of the 6th green which must either be dropped in the drop zone alongside the 7th tee or played as it lies (see local rule 2. above). In all other cases the ball may be lifted and dropped without penalty within one club length of the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole

  4. TREES/WHEEL MARKS/ EMBEDDED BALLS.

    Except in a hazard, a ball may be dropped without penalty within one club length of the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole, if:
    1. a staked tree or a tree under the height of 2 meters interferes with a player's stance or area of intended swing; or
    2. a ball lies in a vehicle wheel mark; or
    3. a ball is embedded in its own pitch mark in soft earth.


  5. DROP ZONE

    Drop zones for the hazards behind the 5th, 6th, 9th, 14th, 16th and 17th holes and to the left of the 11th hole, the old paved area and the practice green in front of the clubhouse, and for the roadway to the right of the 6th green are marked by white circles.

  6. OUT OF BOUNDS

    A ball is out of bounds if it lies outside the boundaries of the Club's premises or outside the line of any white stakes marking a boundary.

  7. ADVERTISING BOARDS

    Line of sight relief may be obtained from any advertising board.

  8. PUTTING PRACTICE GREEN/CHIPPING PRACTICE AREA/CLUBHOUSE AREA

    1. A ball coming to rest on the practice green or on the chipping practice area alongside the practice green must be dropped, without penalty, in the dropping zone alongside the 18th green.
    2. A ball coming to rest on the paving in front of the clubhouse is Out of Bounds.


  9. THE POND BEHIND THE 18TH GREEN IS A HAZARD, THEREFORE:

    A ball coming to rest against any part of the concrete of the pond shall be deemed to be in the hazard and the player shall drop under penalty of one stroke in the drop zone alongside the 18th green.

  10. COURSE MARKINGS

    All course markings are immovable obstructions, eg hazard and distance markers and golf car signs. Hazard stakes define the line of the hazard.

  11. WIRE MESHING PROTECTING YOUNG TREES

    A ball coming to rest within 3 club lengths of the wire meshing protecting trees under 2 meters may obtain line of sight relief of 1 club length from the nearest point of relief not nearer the hole.
